The Braixen in my last piece is named Buñon. They evolved “Endure” from a sentient brain parasite—lethal wounds heal painfully. Metal halts regeneration like a dam, but flesh regrows once removed. Death wipes memory, but they return stronger each time, like a callus. It is a curse.
