They installed our tankless water heater today, also I figured out why the sump pump is down in a pit, duh. Moving in T minus 2 weeks!

Rikers Island, population ~235,000. A "Semi" planned city. I laid out the avenues and purposefully left room for the monorail I added later. I built the low density around downtown first, only after adding the high density in the center. Downtown is a straight grid, the rest was more organic.

Simbukto, population ~330k. I tried to make it look like a real city, jumbled roads, different time period buildings. Main transportation is heavy rail & monorail, with some buses. Nothing pre-planned in this city. Every residential structure was marked historical as it developed, took a while! lol

Stopped at out build over the weekend, this is the tile chosen vs installed. I personally like what they put in, the wife is on the fence. If we decide to keep it should we ask for a credit? Opinions please.

Midland, the second city in my new, only large tile region. I tried to get two different time period buildings, you can see the brick walk ups in the "old" section with the brick roads, I also tried to build in a circle... at least at first. ~215k population, only 1 neighbor city of about 45k.

Stuck at 250K. One of the better cities I have made, all dirty industry is in a neighboring city to the west. As soon as I hit 250k nearly all res. demand goes to zero. Only high tech Ind. & com. service have any demand at all. Recommendations? Vanilla except NAM traffic fix. Region is about 1 mill.

1 month from “closing” date. We’ll see, I am not too confident at this point. NE Ohio semi-custom build, 9 months from dig day now on what was sold as a 6 month build. Columns went on the front and ceramic tile is going in.

8 months from dig day, the granite installers are here this afternoon & the tile flooring was delivered to the garage. NE Ohio semi custom. They are telling us end of April-mid May for close.

One of the better medium tile cities I have ever made. I tried to get it all in there from farms to high tech, single tile res to skyscrapers. All on a giant hill, because for some reason I cant do flat terrain maps. Vanella except for the NAM traffic fixes.

Second major city in my region is about finished after a 5 year break from the game. ~275k sims in about 75 years. I struggle with the smaller tiles.

Back playing after a 5-6 year break. First city breaking 200k pop in a new region, fresh game install. Just as fun as I remember. Playing on and off since 2007 or so. Installed the NAM at 195k, forgot it existed.
