Thank you very much for your response!! It's just that I've seen a lot of comments saying that lump sum was the worst idea in January/February given the decline that followed!! I actually have the possibility of rectifying a little bit but not to the extent of what I put in, it's just that I'm a little disgusted to tell myself that if I had waited a little I would have had a lot less money and that it will take more time to recover now for me some comments were rightly saying that we could struggle for a lot more time before it recovers.

Whatever let's you sleep well and not think constantly about the markets is the right choice. Don't worry too much the best that new investor can have is a crash in the market at the begining, it will teach him that it is not the end of the world , after some time it will go up again and make him more calm and steady, better learn it now with relatively small sum than after 20 years when hopefully you have alot more thousands. Also now it's still interesting to you, in 2-3 years you will probably leave all these financial pages, make the investments automatic and open them from time to time just to check things. About the things you chose to invest in won't give any opinions and suggestions it is something you need to do on your own or by paid advisor, I may take ideas to research from online sources, but will be sure to make really good research and to try not be influenced by politics.

I am not the right person for advices, my situation is a bit unique, will tell you what I did when I started, but better not take it as advice. I picked up s&p500 acc etf with the lowest expense ratio and stick to it, 10 years before retirement will start buying some bond etf instead to lower the risk. In retirement depending on tax situation will start moving some of the stock etf into divident one and keep the bond one till all else is spend. But I will get state pension that in todays money will be more than enough to fund my lifestyle, so I don't count that much on investments, they are my last safety net after pension, real estate and farm land and probably will go to my nephews untouched to be honest.
