Question on adapalene vs. Tret dosages
Hi all,
I have 0.1% adapalene prescribed to me (just standard differin gel.) However I also have purchased 0.025% tret, and 0.05% tret (no Rx)
Am I right in thinking that because adapalene is at a higher strength, it’s more potent? And so, should I use that for acne (on my chin) and perhaps use the 0.025% tret for fine lines (forehead, around eyes etc)?
OR should I just use one all over the face, e.g working my way up from 0.025% tret to the 0.1% adapalene?
Historically, I’ve found adapalene to cause chin flakiness if using more than once every other day, but cant remember if the same is true for tret, since I’ve been prescribed adapalene for about 12 years vs. tret which I bought abroad and have used for a year.
Additional context is that I’m nearing 30, and on 75mg spiro for 7 months now, no BC either so my acne is less of a concern now than a year ago. Fine wrinkles take priority now!
