sfe funding

Soz if this is a bit stupid to ask, but i’m reading a lot of contradicting info online and was wondering if someone could help.

I started a three year course this year, however i want to finish the year and start a new course elsewhere instead of continuing the one im on. Student finance is supposed to fund the length of a typical course plus one year, which makes me think that i will be able to fund the rest of my current year, plus three years of whatever course i go onto in september. However, some of the courses ive looked at are four years in length. So i was wondering if student finance would fund the four years of the new course too? Or would the last year have to be out of pocket since i’ve already funded one year at a different institution?
