Why are consumables so damn expensive?

Dragonflight spoiled me with super cheap consumables. I could buy a stack of 100 phials, weapon runes, and food without even thinking about it.

But flasks right now are 300g for r1. 1k+ for r3! r1 Algari Mana Oil is 318g.

Is this a problem? I don't want to have to actively farm gold just to afford consumables lmao
