Difference between screws

Please excuse my ignorance. Can someone please tell me what the difference in these screw are. Is one better than the other or one a bad option. I go into home depot and there’s so many options idk what to do with myself. Also if anyone has a description or comparison of all the different screws to help me better understand. For reference I’m building a garage shelf out of 2x4 and plywood
