Summary of the game mechanic (Part 1)
Many players find the game mechanics confusing. As a Singaporean fluent in both Chinese and English, I’ll do my best to break down the system in a way that’s easier to understand. So far I had played for over 300 hours.
Character Progression
Your character’s power level doesn’t increase simply by leveling up. Instead, it depends on several factors:
Leveling Systems – How to Increase Your Power
Internal Level
- You can equip up to 4 internal levels at a time.
- Each internal can be leveled up to level 6.
- Requires: Fragments (collected through gameplay) to level up.
Skill Set Level
- You can equip 2 skill sets at a time.
- Skill sets can be leveled up to the same level as your character.
- Requires: Materials dropped by normal enemies in instances to level up.
- Breakthrough Requirement: At certain key levels, you need Martial Art Fragments to progress further.
Special Skill Level
- You can equip up to 8 special skills that consume Qi bar when used.
- Requires: Materials from harvesting and instances to level up.
Equipment Progression
Eight-Layer Sound (Armor Upgrades)
- Upgrade your armor parts using materials and in-game currency from mining and hunting.
- Maximum upgrade: Level 30 at character level 65.
- Permanent boost – stats and level remain even if you change gear.
Armory (Old Gear Storage Bonus)
- Stores older armor sets (level 41, 51, 56) to give a small damage boost.
- Prevents lower-tier armor from becoming useless when upgrading to new gear.
Talent & Exploration Bonuses
- Talent Points – Earned through world exploration.
- Qiqiao Collection – Unlocks additional stats when you turn in collected exploration items.
Combat Mechanics
Evasion & Defense
- Evade (E Key) – Sidestep to avoid all enemy damage while reducing their stagger bar and increasing your Qi bar. If timed correctly, you can counterattack after dodging a red-blink attack. Does not work against yellow-blink attacks.
- Dodge (Shift Key) – A quick dodge that leaves behind a mirage (similar to Black Myth: Wukong). In solo play, a successful dodge slows time for 1–2 seconds. Can be used to avoid yellow-blink attacks.
- Finisher (F Key) – Can be executed when the enemy’s stagger bar is fully depleted, dealing massive damage.

This should make the game’s mechanics clearer! Let me know if you need further explanations or if I missed anything. 😊
