A friend of mine is searching for the name of an anime movie that was cancelled. He remember there was just a trailer/teaser.

"Realistic"-like movie (i.e. Metropolis/Tokyo Godfathers) with CGI, steampunk setting. The trailer showed a girl using a magic book of some sort that ended up being chased by a creature made from paper
