We did it!!

After our original venue in KY went bankrupt 6 months before our wedding, we had to rush to find a new one for October (not an easy feat!) that our vendors (mainly the caterer) could go to and keep the same date. We ended up in Cincinnati at the Glendale Lyceum and it was perfect. My dress was made by Vanya Designs, and was all done virtually! They are wizards at making perfect one of a kind dresses & suits that are reasonably affordable. My bridesmaids and I all DIY’d the flowers/hair pins/boutonnieres (that I got from a local farmers market florist/farm) and did minimal decor as the place was pretty enough. I told all my girls to wear whatever they wanted and to get something they would wear again and feel beautiful in, zero requirements. We all did our own makeup and hair (and helped each other out), my sister did my nails. I made homemade vanilla for favors and had popcorn as well (I work for the company that makes it). We had a key lime pie for our “cake cutting.” For entertainment we had dueling pianos. Everyone loved it and even those who didn’t dance still had a fun show and got to request songs. We didn’t stress the small details, partied hard, and had the most wonderful, perfect day! For those whose weddings are coming up, you’ve got this!
