should i buy the $919 ipad + apple pencil deal

help me chat i want it because it'll be so much easier to have notes and stuff online and to annotate pdfs and texts for eng/lit directly online. also the notes are so cute like omg. but am i wasting my money or nah because paper and pen will always work and i feel like the ipad is more of a want than a need. will it be useful and worth it or should i save the money for something else
