Benefits on Air Canada?

Good Morning! This is my 1st time having parts of my flight happen on Air Canada as a 1k. Do any of my 1K benefits transfer over to Air Canada, such as preferred seats or pre-boarding? I noticed on the AC website (I was just using the logged out view as I don't have an AC login), they charge for selecting standard seats and even more for the more space seats. Do I need to create an AC login to select seats and will my miles go to the AC account instead of my UA account?
