Is Badenoch really that smart?

This is not a shit post. I am an American, and my politics professor told me all about Kemi Badenoch.

He told me how smart she was, and that I should listen to her speeches. He says she is really special, and a future PM(no joke). He even traveled all the way to Birmingham for the Tory Convention, where he spend some time talking to her.

I’ve seen some clips of her, and I’m not impressed. Who goes from middle-class to working-class in one shift?

He pays a lot more attention to UK Politics than I do. What am I missing?
