Why do people like watching Shane so much?
I dont think most Shane fans even agree or like most of the things he does. However he is the only character that actually does things in season 2. Everyone else was just reactive. In the apocalypse. In the slowest paced season.
When Shane learns of the barn, “we either need to leave or we just need to make it right” whereas everyone else is content to just let the issue sit. He busts the barn open. When Shane and Rick fight over Randall, Shane is going to kill Randall if he wins, whereas if Rick wins we get to spend 40 minutes watching Rick debate with himself over a full day... just to do nothing after nothing. Then theres Sofia. It’s impossible to list 1 time where Rick was proactive and moved forward the show - or most characters. They just react. Or dont. Of course people like watching Shane.
