Do any other therapists struggle with finding a therapist?
Long story short... I reached out to 10 therapists via Psychology Today. 3 of them responded and I had consultation calls with them. One of them used a winky face in their emails to me and was pretty scatterbrained during the call. One of them ended the call after 5 minutes because "seems like we covered everything!" And the 3rd one seems promising but I won't really know until the intake session. As a therapist, I'm sure I have high expectations for my own personal therapist, but I don't think my expectations are unrealistic. I guess I'm just feeling disappointed that I've gone nearly 30 years without finding a therapist I *truly* click with. I know there's some trial and error when it comes to finding the right fit, but has anyone else experienced this? And did you ever find the right therapist?
