Matlock should have been called any other name

This show is not a Matlock reboot. It's its own show with the name Matlock wetly slapped on the front for no reason.

It's a fine enough show, but the name and weak premise for its name is so off-putting. If they wanted Matlock, they should have just had Kathy Bates take on a gray-haired character who travels the country bungling her way into murder mysteries and solving them with old-fashioned grit.
