Just finished the anime

I have to say I have now watched most all Sao content that is out. I watched the 3 movies as well as every episode of the anime and extra edition. The only thing I haven’t watched is AGGO which I plan to watch next.

I am starting to read the light novels now. I’m curious though. Does it detract from the experience much by reading through the fan translations rather than official material? I know that they stop before the end of the series will it be jarring to swap over to the official release after if I was reading fan translation up until then?
