Much more stable on 4mg than 2mg?

Has anyone had a dose that they just feel much better on?

I was tapering for months down from 8mg to 2mg. I stayed at 2mg for honestly 4+ months and I remember just feeling trash atleast 80% of the time.

I had an issue with my chemist/prescriber and I had to restart my full prescription again. I had to do supervised collections (I was previously on weekly pick ups). I've started a new job and I just accepted the daily collections as I didn't want to jeopardise my new job with any form of withdrawals. My support worker said it will just be for a short period of time due to the chemist issue. I Don't mind too much tbh.

She phoned me last week and says ok everything is setup but the prescriber is flat out refusing 2mg only. At minimum 6mg. I was like. No chance I'm going back up to 6mg. It took me months to drop from 6mg to 2mg. She said this is your only option. We eventually settled with 4mg after a back and forth. Being honest I wasn't happy with the increase. I genuinely want to stop. Tapering isn't easy and causes so many mood swings and fatigue. I didn't fancy that hell again.

I've been on the 4mg for a week+ now and the difference has been incredible. Got a ton more energy and my mood is really good. I honestly felt like trash for well over 2 months.

Will this 4mg remain like this? Will it eventually balance out and I will just feel like I did at 2mg or do you think my brain just feels more stable at 4mg?

I would love to get off this medication but sacrificing this job is scaring the life out of me. It's vad enough finding a job these days but one that you enjoy and also pays very well is so unknown.

Would you just accept the buprenorphine prescription and think of your life out with first?

It's stressful now that I'm experiencing relief. The 4mg doesn't make me feel high or off etc. I just feel 'good'. Prior I was waking everyday soaked in sweat and had awful fatigue until I dosed that day.

Thanks
