1) The filmmakers made it extremely clear during the series and in post-interviews that Carole was treating the animals as poorly as any, with absolutely zero altruistic motivation.

2) Joe did not finish with 19% of the vote for Governor. This count was for the Libertarian nomination, of which Joe received 19%, or less than 700 actual votes.

A huge peripheral inaccuracy, airboats are NOT used in Florida to avoid hitting animals lmao. They’re used because the water is too shallow for submergible propellers. Manatees are killed by airboats just as frequently as any other form of watercraft.
