Why do school psychs get more respect than SLPs?

I have been a school SLP for several years and it kills me how little respect we are given while school psychologists get to demand professional boundaries. Never once have I been allowed to say I’m too busy to test or demand that I am present for all meetings that involve speech/language consent. This email was sent to me after I got permission to test for a student who had data supporting referral for academic testing. I even emailed this psych asking if I should proceed with getting consent to which she did not respond. I am tired of being treated this way. I have 155 students that I am managing paperwork and 75 direct service students. I have approached my supervisor and called every office at the state level to advocate for myself and there are simply no rights for school-based SLPs in Tennessee. Thanks for listening to my rant. If anyone has any advice for advocating for a reasonable caseload it would be much appreciated. My supervisor said I was lucky for the help I do have 🫠
