New renderings have been revealed for 343 Madison Avenue, a 46-story office skyscraper in Midtown East, Manhattan.

This could have been such a great location for a unique skyscraper with impressive architecture surrounded by icons, instead they went with this design: a 46-story commercial skyscraper at around 850 ft tall. The building is located along Madison Avenue and will yield around 950,000 sq ft of office space. The exterior is composed of a light class curtain wall, the building rises in three main tiers separated by outside terraces. The core wall is positioned on the eastern side and extends above the roof (I hate these exposed core walls, i wonder why there are no renderings of that side). What’s your opinion of this new rendering of the proposed skyscraper 343 Madison Avenue?
