I hate killing giants for bounties (giant appreciation post)

I have to do it to complete the game and earn some extra bucks. But… I hate killing the giants. To me they seem to live a rather peaceful life, herding and tending the mammoths who are otherwise hunted and poached by bandits and all sort of other scum. I play in survival mode and one time when I was almost freezing to death a giant let me warm up next to their bonfire. It ended up getting killed by me the next day because the Jarl of Dawnstar issued a bounty. I tend to play morally “good” characters and killing the giant just felt wrong. My current character looked at its mammoth friend after killing the giant and I swear my heart ached.

The giants in Skyrim deserve better.
