Least-performed Shakespeare plays
So, obviously there are some plays that have countless stagings and adaptations. Hamlet, Macbeth and King Lear, for example. Which plays seem to get staged the least? Are there any without any/many good film adaptations? I know the BBC has produced every play, but I’m not aware of any major film version of Henry VIII for example. Which others are rare to see? Are there any “Holy Grail” plays that you do hope to see on-stage, if you can?
I’m potentially planning to try and watch at least one version of every play (films, TV versions and stage recordings mostly) in 2025… I’m just wondering about my options for some of the more obscure ones!
