About the Failsafe
For the failsafe, I feel it wasn't really needed. I get the new order scythes were taking over and they weren't doing it how the old guard wanted, but Goddard was right. In a perfect world surely even the scythes should be able to enjoy what they do. And as long as the scythes are doing their quota as everyone else, and not breaking any commandments, I don't see the big deal. The selected have to die anyway, but the new order scythes just have a bit of fun with it. I understand needing the failsafe because gleaning quotas were gone, but they weren't when Faraday and Munira went to the atoll. I just don't see the problem with scythes having to find what they do sacred and make it hard to do
