Does cooking cans into soups improve the calorie amount?

Have been doing alot of math on food, and from what ive managed to figure out, surviving off cans after the power goes out is gonna be tighter than id like (doable, but not a ton of breathing room, assuming im looting houses)

Do you get more calories from cooking cans into soups, or is the only advantage the ability to put spices in?
