Husband seeing birth of son
Okay Reddit, I want to get opinions. When I give birth I absolutely want my husband in the room, I just really don’t want him to look down until the baby is out. I accidentally made the mistake to look down when my sister was giving birth and I instantly regretted it.. I know people say birth is a beautifully natural, and that’s great, but I would feel most comfortable if my husband did not look down when our baby is coming out. However he feels like that is a special moment welcoming his son into this world, and feels he should be able to watch.. what’s your opinion?
EDIT: Wow thank you guys! I feel much better about the whole thing! I did not expect this many comments and appreciate all the input! A question I saw a lot was what I saw when I looked down with my sister and it was the crowning part of my nephews head.. and all the hairs and liquids and bloods.. I was 6 months pregnant at the time of all that sooo that could of added to the ick of seeing it knowing I’d be doing the same thing.. I didn’t want my husband to see that and be disgusted to look at me again, but I see that is usually not the case and he shows no signs he’d ever think that one bit! Again thank you!
