Gay icons around the world most prominent in the 60s, 70s, 80s, & 90s !

Hello !

I’m currently trying to compose a playlist of gay icons from around the world most prominent in the 60s, 70s, 80s, & 90s ! I’m primarily looking for artists who aren’t American & British. Looking for artists who are very well known as gay icons in their own countries but outside of that people may not know their names. And icons that are very prominent in drag culture!

Some artists I love, looking for this vibe:

• Mina (Italian),
• La Veneno (Spain),
• Diane Dufresne (Quebec),
• Amanda Lear (French),
• Raffaella Carrà (Italian)
• Gal Costa ( Brazil)

But as you can see this list is also pretty limited to the Mediterranean mostly, I need more diversity! :) although I will definitely take more reccs like this if you have any!
