To my mother...
My mom's been fighting cancer for about a year. We've been apart since I moved back to the States, and now she doesn't have that much time left according to what the doctors told my father last night. I'm here and she's on the other side of the globe and being unable to go back to tell her how much I love her and how I was the reason to give her smile back since she lost my older sister before she had me (she unfortunately had a hole in her heart and couldn't make it past 24 hours when she was born in 95, I was born two years later after her, making me the 2nd born).
So, naturally, as a fan of this series for so long and booting my new copy of Platinum, it felt right to go to the rock where people give their utmost gratitude. I may not know anybody on this subreddit, but please take your time in consideration for your loved ones, including your parents. You never know what may happen whenever someone's time comes near for them. As I'm writing this, I'm leaving this post as a reminder to cherish those bright moments, despite our differences and struggles, always.
To my mother, Fonny, whom I give thanks to for my smile. I may not know how much time you have left, but I pray you still have enough to see me graduate college soon this Spring.
