I’ve been waiting on posting for 4+ months because I had a bit of a slow start post op. I don’t think my experience was quite the norm after following this sub.

I had my procedure under GA with Justin M King in Colorado. After years of asking for help from primary care doctors and getting no support, I found his name here. I switched my insurance to Tricare Select to avoid gate keeping and go straight to a specialist.

My procedure was done in April. I did have a some post surgical pain that I believe is outside of the norm—severe ear/sinus pain that I ended up going to urgent care a few days after the procedure (I am located quite a bit outside of where his offices are). Looking back, I think it might have been acid reflux aggravating that area.

I had a very slow start to being able to burp. At our five week follow up I was only having really strained few and far between burps. However after week six, I was burping like a champ and have been ever since.

So, if you’re in CO I cannot recommend Dr. King enough! If you’re having a slow start, have faith. This was life changing. If my symptoms come back, I would go back and do it again.
