Is it worth making a complaint to PALS/Complaints team?

I recently had a bad experience as a patient and left my hospital consultation crying, embarrassed and angry. I want to make a complaint but I don't know if it's worth reliving the experience for nothing to happen. Does anyone know if anything comes of complaining or do you just get ignored?
