Situation with Nettspend's Parents

I've been pondering this question for a while but it's finally reached somewhat of a breaking point. Where are Nett's parents? I understand everyone can have a different home dynamic but he's constantly smoking weed and pouring up on camera at 16? I mean there is no heavenly way that his parents are unaware of this, right? Someone please feel free to enlighten the shit out of me.
