Teams who are very blatantly and intentionally tanking should get auto-prohibited from getting the 1st pick.

So the NBA has tried everything in the past decade to make teams stop tanking at the end of the season: make lottery odds more even, implement a play-in, and much more. But after all they have tried to do this issue still persists.

The Jazz rested Walker Kessler for a few games, then after the NBA fined them for tanking they just made him active but DNP'd him, they DNP'd Markkanen in the 2nd half, and then other teams like the Raptors have recently just taken out all their starters in close games to tank. When teams tank that blatantly, they should just get excluded from getting the first pick. Now there are bad teams or injury riddled teams like the Wizards this year or the Mavericks this year who are losing a lot games, but are not neccesarily "intentionally" tanking. And there are also teams like this year's Blazers who could've easily tanked but instead they decided to play-through and are turning out to be a legit fun team who is a play-in threat, and this is much better for the fans. So overall its very easy to tell when NBA teams are blatantly and intentionally tanking to improve their lottery odds, and the NBA can confirm this every time through simple investigations. If a team does tank they should automatically get prohibited from getting the 1st pick at least. I think this is a harsh but simple solution to eliminate tanking.
