Are we sure teams will actually be willing to give up significant assets to acquire a 2 year rental on a 37 year old KD this summer?

So its been heavily reported that KD is going to be traded this summer, and at this point its pretty much inevitable that Phoenix will look to trade him. Teams like HOU, MIN, OKC, MIA primarily come to mind as potential destinations for him and maybe teams like DENVER/KNICKS to a lesser extent. But are we overestimating a 37 year old KD's trade value, and will teams like HOU/MIN actually be willing to go into a bidding war and give up major assets to trade for him?

A a report just now came out that when MIN approached Phoenix the discussions got nowhere because MIN did not offer Jaden McDaniels as part of the trade package, and that actually makes a lot of sense on Minnesota's side. They have players like Jaden McDaniels who are part of Anthony Edward's timeline, and trading them for a 2 year rental on a 37 year KD could just work out badly. And I am not sure if teams like OKC/HOU with a lot of assets will be willing to trade the farm(multiple picks and a young player) for KD either, because it would deplete their assets and ruin their young timeline, and it probably also make more sense for a team like HOU to wait for a younger player like Booker to use their assets. So it just does not really make sense for HOU/OKC to go into a bidding war for him. Now I actually think teams like DEN/Knicks would be more willing to give up all their remaining assets(which they don't have much of anyways) to get KD because those teams are in much more "win-now" situations. Like it wouldn't be shocking if Denver trade MPJ/Watson + a pick for KD, if they can't win with their current roster anyways, rather than young teams like OKC/HOU giving up major assets for KD.

But what do you guys think?
