What are some of the most miscast vehicles in a movie?

Just watched A Little White Lie last night and Kate Hudson plays a literary professor at a small liberal arts college in California with two modest novels to her name who inexplicably drives what appears to be a 3/4 ton Chevy truck.

An odd choice on so many levels. It's never explained why she needs a truck or why she is content to drain her bank account with a vehicle that probably gets 10 miles to the gallon. Plus she lives in a state that plans to ban gas vehicles by 2035. You'd think driving such a gas-guzzling vehicle on a California campus would make her a social pariah.
