Does a Microsoft 365 admin account need to be licensed?

Greetings

I am helping a friend move her business e-mails over from a basic IMAP account over to Microsoft 365 Business Standard.

I suspect that for a few months, or even up to a year, I will be assisting with supporting her tenant with her Microsoft 365 account, since she isn’t overly technical. Is there a method to set myself up with a Global Admin account to her Microsoft 365 tenant without a license? I would hate to have her need to pay for a license just for me to assist with backend things. Is there a method to set myself up with a [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) account just to use for administration?
