Hard to believe this is Greater Manchester
Man what a day! I went up and down there twice. I got down to the road the first time and I wanted to take a picture of my trusty stick that helped me up and down. Reached for my phone and it had gone.
I'd come down the way I went up but it was that treacherous I slid down on my arsenal through the Heather for about 100 metres. I must be blessed because halfway up there was some rock climbers practicing on a boulder. I said, "You gotta help me out guys. I've lost my phone somewhere coming down. If I give you my number can you ring it while I'm up there?"
I was about 100 metres above them shouting them to ring it. I couldn't hear it so I kept climbing. I was nearly in tears thinking I'd have to day on that mountain all night. I was praying and then I heard it! Three rings later and I looked under the Heather and I could see my phone flashing. The fourth image is where it was - under that heather.
Those rock climbers said they were going to climb up to the top and watch the sunset and I was buzzing so I climbed to the top again. I was up there for ten minutes freezing my ass off so I looked down and they were walking away. I climbed down again while I was totally finished. I could barely turn the pedals on my bike. Got home gone 11 O'clock. Home sweet home.
