Is this Picture Ledge too high?

In all of the Pinterest posts I used for inspiration, the ledge was approx. 10” - 12” above the top of the couch against the wall - when I tried this height, I could barely sit without my head hitting the bottom of the ledge.

Anyways, wondering if this looks too high. These frames/photos are temporary placeholders while the ones I ordered ship.
