Choosing either side from the Palestine-Israel conflict is the first mistake from the people on the internet, Malaysians included.
I know this topic is not related to this subreddit but I have been seeing so many Malaysians on the internet siding with either side and condemning the other side.
The Palestine-Israel conflict is an endless cycle of conflict, hatred, misunderstandings from both sides. There are no rights or wrongs, both sides have their fair share of suffering and crime they committed, whether it's in the past or present. If we were to trace back history to find faults, it will be just be another endless debate. The internet or social media is just one more ingredient to add on to the recipe of disaster.
What's important here is to acknowledge that if a war is really about to begun, it's only the innocent civilians from both sides that will suffer. I'm on neither side of this conflict, I just hope that this current 'about to happen' war will be resolved.
I'm not saying that we can't support either sides like Palestinians' unfair treatments from Isreal, what Hamas did to the innocent Israel people etc. What I'm saying is that there are no clear black and white way of justifying who's right and who's wrong.
On a side note, seeing some of them(Malaysians) openly support Hamas' action threw me off so much, violence was never a solution but a fuel to drive more disasters.
Edit: Many are misunderstanding my post so I'll just share an article about this that I found recently.

Edit 2: Since there are too many comments here to respond to, I'll just make a general response here. Many argued by bringing in 'parts' of past history to justify their choice of supporting a side but if I respond by bringing more history, the argument will be endless which is literally the point of this post. No doubt that the Palestinians have been suffering for quite some time but the cause is not that 1 sided(Israel) as many think. The situation is more complicated when it's mixed with history and politics from both sides, the neighboring countries and the superpowers of the world. In the end, Palestine ended up in the losing side and their people are the ones paying the cost which is tragic.
