Does CICO apply the same way to alcohol?
I would assume that CICO applies to anything consumed, but I see a lot of posts suggesting that the body metabolizes alcohol differently, which can slow weight loss or at least the number on the scale after drinking. Is there truth to this? I typically never drink while losing weight.
Context: I have lost 13 pounds out of 20. I have an event on Friday where I would like to have 2-3 mixed drinks. I know numerically I can fit the calories in, but are there other factors I should be aware of?
I plan to drink liquor mixed with 0 or low calorie liquids.
