Collection of my builds based on factory Remington 700 actions

Here are some of my builds I did using factory Remington actions. Some I threaded, re-crowned, trued, all are bedded, have a bit of trigger tuning or replacement, and are hand loaded for. Despite what may be seen online and heard elsewhere, they all shoot awesome and are 100% reliable. Some of them I hunt game with, some I punch paper.

I own, build/modify and shoot everything from Tikka/Sako, Winchester Model 70s, Bergara, Savage, Ruger, Mauser 98 actions, Browning A-Bolts, and custom actions in chassis. These rifles hold their own just fine with anything I’ve got from 500$ to 5,000$. Many of the factory Rems I own were bought used on the cheap in pawn shops and gun shops all over (sub-600$ for over half of these pictured). They are, 99% of the time, accurate, reliable, and easy as can be to modify, tune, and accurize. They have a very simple construction/design, there are tons of aftermarket parts options, and lots of tuning info floating around.

Don’t let the often over-exaggerated R700 hate deter you from choosing this platform for a build. Yes, even the new ones can be great with a bit of work even if they don’t have the fit and finish of the older ones. ✌🏼
