Local mattress shopping

I am distrustful of Sleep Country and any other specialty retailer.

I also haven't had a great experience with online bedding retailers - I returned a duvet from Endy because it sucked. I'm leery of not being able to try before I buy because it's one thing to return a duvet and it's another thing to return a king mattress.

My wife is a squishy mattress fan whereas I have the correct preference to a firm mattress. We're wanting to try and buy in person. We're also Costco people so that could be an option as well if others have had good experiences.

Any recommendations? Thanks!
