How to fix cycle stopping and the light flashing yellow?

My LR 3 has had this issue for a while and nothing seems to fix it.

I tried the aluminum foil trick. I taped the two metal pieces with electrical tape but nothing seems to prevent it from stopping. I even moved the metal pieces to the other side so that nothing can push them apart.

It always seems to work fine after putting it back together but it doesn't last. I'm at my wits' end with this piece of shit.

• * * EDIT: I recently solved my issue by cleaning the bonnet's electrical contacts. They are similar to the pinch detector contacts and located in the back towards the left. You'll need to remove the bonnet to access them. Mine were covered in black. After wiping them down, I haven't had the issue for over a week.
