Hot Take: I wish the Lion Guard wasn’t made

Okay so everyone knows Lion King 1, Lion King 2 and Lion King 1/2. Perfect, cannon absolute masterpieces to me. I know not everyone has probably seen/remember Lion King 1/2, but it’s still absolutely amazing to me. Only for Disney to make The Lion Guard. Like introducing a whole new cub and story line? Completely watering down characters? Like it’s not a masterpiece to me but I guess Disney wanted to make it more kid friendly.

But they completely ruined Simba’s character. Water down Nala courage and ferocity. And changed Kiara from ‘I don’t wanna be queen’ to ‘When I’m queen’ character. Like Kiara went from a tomboy character to a snotty brat in the lion guard.

And where does Kion even fit in with the story line of Lion King 2? Like he’s just a background character during whole movie? Like why couldn’t Kion be involved like Kovu siblings? That’s what’s bugging me honestly, if he’s Kiara brother why wasn’t he in Lion King 2? Like Kovu siblings were shown,why wasn’t Kion shown.
