Anyone from India that switched from Kindle to Kobo?

Asking specifically because India hasn’t had a kindle available for sale for a couple years. And my trusty kindle is about 6 years old. But is getting a bit slow!

I missed the deadline in downloading my books from the kindle so I’m unsure how to transfer books and it’s been a LOTTA books in this time :( so I would appreciate some help in that area as well if you’ve switched! :)
