I regret recording a video of myself.

Hi everyone,

I understand why people skip job applications where you're asked to record yourself

I spent an hour recording a video perfectly getting dressed fixing my hair to look as presentable as possible

Did my best to think about my answers

And guess what I got?

Just an email that rejected me vaguely saying they've decided to go with more qualified candidates

Why didn't they reject me the first time around if I'm not qualified?

Now they made me do a video of myself for a job that I'm more than capable of doing

I didn't expect they'd hire me but the least these companies can do when asking candidates to record themselves

Is have a short call with them afterwards and show some effort as well

They got to see me personally hear my voice and I got to never hear or see theirs?

I feel like I've just send a bunch of strangers my video for nothing or perhaps only for their entertainment 😕

Never again will I do this
