Considering relocating from Southside to Riverside

I’ve been living on the southside for over 20 years and considering relocating to Riverside as it seems to be more my vibe and social and things to do. Are there any disadvantages of living in Riverside? How does it hold up under the hurricanes? Is parking ever an issue ? Anything I am overlooking?
