Houston Weekend Getaway ideas?

My wife's [54 y/o milf] b-day is next week, and would like to do a little stay cation. Somewhere upscale but convenient to good inner loop restaurants. Budget is probably $1-1.5k. Sometimes we do Brasserie 19 and Marfreless, and generally avoid crowds and concerts. THX!
