New Finchers…it’s OK to slow down.

New Finchers (and not so new)…

It’s ok to slow down on Finch.

It’s ok not to have everything all at once.

The app is advertised for self care and to learn healthy habits. Yes, there is a game component to it, but it’s not a game. Go read the write-up in the App Store again. It talks about mental health, goals, journaling, tracking, moods, etc. We’re just lucky to have our awesome birb and the game part attached to all the app does to motivate us!

This is your app and your journey. No one else’s. You get to decide what you want your journey to be. If you don’t want your journey to just be a game, it doesn’t have to be. And I would say it shouldn’t be. But that’s me.

Anyway…

Don’t get intimidated by other people’s outfits and birb houses. Learning how to get stones and how to dress and decorate takes time in most cases. And it’s a lot of fun to learn as you get better and better.

You don’t have a plushie yet? Big deal. Get a teddy bear from the store and work towards one like many of us did. It teaches you persistence and perseverance. And Cheesecake’s teddy bear is her most loved item above all her plushies!

Don’t have tree friends? Go to the daily friends and trading thread and post your code. You’ll make friends fast. Or interact in the comments of posts.

Don’t understand something? Easy, just search the search bar to see if someone has already asked the question before (more than likely they have) and if not post and ask…someone will answer.

Feel like you don’t know what you are doing? Read posts in the sub. You’ll learn fast.

You may think you want it all at once, but there is so much to look forward to in Finch. Slow down and enjoy the ride!
