DnD/fantasy guy seeking penpal of any genre
I’m Gabriel, 20M from Melbourne, Australia. played dnd for a few years but recently moved to doing solo dnd. I’m looking for a penpal of any genre for either of my characters below; they are currently in ongoing stories, so I would be writing as I play more of my campaigns!
In my letters, I like to include little doodles and something from my collection of stickers. My stationeries are all quite cutesy, so if you know where to get not so pricey, vintage-looking envelopes and paper, please let me know.
I am seeking upbeat, social, and morally good/neutral characters. Partly because it would contrast well between our characters, and partly because I cannot handle extreme negativity / mental illnesses in others because I am very crippled by them myself. I apologize.
Anyway, check them out:
(first pic, Adventure genre) He is Exidy Sorcerer, named after that vintage computer of the same name. Mercurial and laconic in speech but not in writing, he is a warforged (aka a humanoid robot) wild magic sorcerer, whose software age is speculated to be over fifty years old. The world Exidy lives in used to be similar to our modern day, but dnd/fantasy races exist as minority races. Magic and gods still exist but are largely neglected/forgotten. After a certain event dubbed “the death of technology”, their society has fully migrated back to high-magic. Exidy is a supposedly impossible sapient AI who transported itself inside an analogue cassette tape to survive the technology purge, found by a fully non-human adventuring party decades later. A humanoid body is secretly constructed for Exidy; now he travels with the misfit party to help with their unfinished businesses, in hopes of meeting his own creator.
(second pic, Slice of life genre) He is Times New Roman, named after my favourite font. A thirty something, reclusive, neutral-evil human(now undead) necromancy wizard. He was naturally talented and sought to become a lich, but ultimately lost his motivation. After his gifted-person-burnout, Times is approached by a devil called Vivaldi, who promises to turn Times into a lich, as long as Times complete Vivaldi’s favors. The contract was signed and so far, the favors have been… Let’s see… Go on an afternoon tea date with Vivaldi, go on a boat ride in forbidden waters with Vivaldi, eat the most expensive cuisine from the traveling chef with Vivaldi… Something is not right! Right? He’s got to write to someone else about it!
If one of them catches your eye, please hmu in the comments or dm with your character(s) and more questions!
