FOMO or missing certain items / events ?

Hey everyone ,

I've played this game a little on and off from 2017. I only finished ARR on my main char and that's where I stopped. My girlfriend has recently been wanting to try this so I told her I'd resub and we can play.

I am just curious though...how bad is the fomo on this game? Like if we start playing is there a buncha cool stuff we missed?, is it worth starting this game so late?
